Special Relativity (SR) is a standard chapter in any textbook of advanced electrodynamics. In this short book, SR is studied in its own right by focusing on both its physical and group-theoretical aspects. The Lorentz group is introduced and its Lie-algebraic structure is examined. Group actions are then realized as standard Lorentz transformations that guarantee the covariance of the laws of mechanics and electrodynamics. The theory is supplemented by a number of problems, all of which are accompanied by detailed solutions.
